A few months back I was lucky to be invited to a friend that wanted to share the wonderful art of qigong with me. She taught a mini class and learned me to fall in love with this slow, balancing movements and I find it a wonderful way to start the day. At that time I did understand this could be a great way of finding balance. Little did I know how much impact these simple, slow movements have on the body and soul. Qigong is an ancient form of Chinese yoga that cultivates “qi” (life energy) also known as chi and incorporates deep breathing and stretching. Chinese shamans, Taoists and Buddhist monks originally practiced qigong thousands of years ago as a way to seek peace and harmony with nature. The method I learned from my friend is ...
The best biscotti ever
Yesterday I got SO many awesome gifts. Probably by now some of you already know I loooooove homemade. I love eatable, sustainable, handmade .... my people probably know this too ... so for my birthday they had really poured their hearts in and made me some wonderful gifts. No1 of course: the gift of love - the gift of being together, sitting around the table, talking, laughing and sharing good food. They made me the cutest breakfast - my man took me on a perfect lunch date and in the evening they created the best dinner&cake. I feel so blessed. 💕 I got these super yummy biscotti from my daughter Sol, that I'll serve you the recipe today. These are soooo good and are perfect along with a cup of tea or coffee. I got so many good ...
Rhubarb&strawberry sherbet
Yes, I admit I'm a ice cream lover.... or maybe more like a sherbet lover. The fruity, fresh, tasty, real taste and smooth texture are perfect for dessert all year but in the summer I think I could live of ice cream and sherbet only.... ok, and some fruits and berries ... and fresh veggies .. and... I also have this love for rhubarb. It makes me super happy when the strange large leaves and the super sour and tangy stalks appear in my garden. I kinda feel like I want to wear the leaves as a hat and run into the kitchen to find a cup of sugar like I did when I was 5. So, because I love homemade berry-fresh sherbet - and because it's my birthday tomorrow I think I'll serve you one of my all time favourite homemade sherbets made of ...
Crochet daisy head band
Finally it came some rain in Oslo today. The nature, trees, plants, flowers were all dry and need the life giving water now. So - we smile even if it pours down. Besides I love the smell of summer rain and the freshness it brings. The rain didn't stay for long and soon the sun were back making all the raindrops twinkle like little jewels. I've used the day making this super cute, hippie, daisy head band. I've written the instructions in Norwegian and English so nobody will miss out. This time the Norwegian instruction is first, so you'll have to scroll down for English. Today it turned out my beautiful girl, Sol, (her name actually means sun ☀ or sunshine in Norwegian) had dressed up perfectly for the new headband and ...

Glitter girl solid perfume
I got this awesome Idea on instagram today and just had to do my own take on glittery solid perfume. It's summer, it's weekend it's perfect timing for this wonderful, natural, homemade perfume-glittery-cream. 1. The perfume is made of 100% natural, nontoxic, pure essential oils. 2. It won't vanish into the air so quickly (like store bought perfumes made of alcohol and synthetic fragrances) because we use heavy oils and beeswax as carrier oils, and these will sit on your skin and hold onto the scent of the essential oils added. 3. Natural glitter added to make your skin summery, glittery, beautiful. This will suit your tan perfectly and natural. I whipped up this solid glittery perfume in minutes, using only things I had on hand. ...

Yummy stinging Nettle chips
Ok, you might think I've gone crazy today, talking about the most yummy chips I've ever made - stinging nettle chips - no, they won't sting when you eat them! No worries! The only thing that will happen is that you'll regret you didn't make double dose. Yes, it's true, you can use these wild, unwanted nettle plants to make food. Usually I use nettles for soup, sautéed or as a cleansing tea together with peppermint. But today I'll talk about the nettle chips. I got the idea after I tasted some kale chips. It was tastier than expected and I thought nettle should be very suitable for making chips. I also wanted to use the nettle chips as a fun topping on the green pea& herb vegan soup I made at the cafe. And yes it worked ...
