This recipe was made by my awesome 17 yo daughter Sol the other day.
She love fried banana – and that day she called me in her lunch break asked me if I was able to buy some bananas and ice cream because she planned on making fried bananas.
This dessert is super yummy – perfect for celebrating someone in the family just passed an exam, got a new job (or both), just a Friday or Saturday night or whenever you need a grand dessert. 😄
You’ll need at least 1/2 banana pr person. Cut the banana in half, then in half lengthwise.
Make the batter:
1 egg
200 ml ice cold water
Aprx 200 ml plain flour (you can easily use rice flour instead)
Whisk egg and water together. Add in flour little by little until batter is to your liking. Let the batter sit for two minutes.
In a casserole heat at least 500 ml sunflower oil.
Dip the banana pieces into the batter and place them into the hot oil using a spoon. Let the bananas deep fry until golden.
Take them out of the oil and put them on a paper towel to drain away excess oil.
Serve warm or room temperature with ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Enjoy!
