The last couple of weeks I’ve been working on a large crochet summer shawl. I’ve made a previous post on this project too. You’ll find it here.
Today I’m finishingup the instructions and pattern in Norwegian and English (!!!) and they will be available shortly so stay tuned.
When working on larger, more time consuming yarn projects like this one or knitting sweaters or anything like that people often ask me how I find the patience to finish such a time consuming project. And you know what… I have no idea (!). Lol.
True story. While working on some big crochet or knitting project I always have thousands of new ideas popping up in my head. New ideas. New inspiration. But what keeps me going, finishing the project is probably the joy, the satisfaction of seeing the finished product. See how my idea turns out. That makes me really happy. Besides I love the process of designing, planning, testing, failing and then all of a sudden succeed and make something pretty or useful.
If the things I create are supposed to be given to someone I love, the process of creating is even easier and more filled with joy. I think of that person every time I pick up the project and continue working on it. I think of that person when I finish up the project, make the last adjustments, clean it up and make it ready to be wrapped up and given away. I imagine that persons face when they get or use the thing Ive created, and that makes it all worth every second, every minute, every hour I’ve put into whatever the project is.
And what’s even better: when I write my blogposts, my instructions, share my ideas, patterns and recipes I keep on thinking of you, my blog readers, hoping you’ll find joy and inspiration and new ideas trough my blog. I hope you can find some recipes or some patterns you like and find useful. Spreading positivity and joy and ideas to create pretty things makes me happy and makes me keep going.
The crochet shawl I’m finishing up instruction and pattern for today is made of NATURE 100% organic wool by Hobbii.
I was so lucky to getting sponsored on this project by Hobbii, and to show my gratitude and to give something back I’ll share the instructions and patterns in English and Norwegian for free.
Can’t wait to see you back soon!
Hugs and kisses
Gudrun
