Camilla’s beautiful DIY bridal bouquet -and how to make it.

July 7th 2018 we had this beautiful, amazing celebration of love in our family. Young mr&mrs Loennecken (Camilla and Edvin) had a wonderful wedding. It was all located at a farm on the southern coast of Norway, outdoors in beautiful surroundings and amazing, warm summer weather everything perfectly arranged in beautiful, summery and playful boho style by the young couple. You might already know I'm the grooms mom ... and I'm so so happy and thankful and blessed to call Camilla my daughter in law. She is a beautiful young person inside and out. We all Love her so much! From the very first time this girl set her foot in our home six years ago (even if she was only a very shy and barely 17 year old young girl at that time) she was one ...

Lunch at the beach

We are having Some wonderful warm summer days here on the southern coast of Norway. We enjoy a few days off before the upcoming wedding on Saturday and today was perfect to chill at the beach. We brought our sup (stand up paddle) board and had totally fun practicing and paddle. This is a wonderful and fun investment. It's not for small children but for teens and adults this is a perfect "toy". It's also pretty sustainable (even if it's made of rubber). It's definitely nothing you throw away after one or two times use like any other floating plastic toy.. it has more than one use and it might be used for both stand up paddle (like it's meant to) but also sitting, laying down, playing, floating, relaxing... I tried sup first time last ...

Our wedding card

Yay! Today I found time to create the greeting card for the wedding. You know I actually looove paper crafting. In the past I did paper craft every single day ... so making this card for Camilla and Edvin is something I've been looking forward to and planned how I wanted it to turn out quite some time. Now, when you've been quite good at something (not to brag) and then all of a sudden stop doing it ... getting started is such a joy... but it's also kinda scary... sounds strange? Well, what I mean is the inner critic that shows up and ask if I really still is able to make the card as nice as planned... maybe I'm just messing it all up ... I finally got to silence that critic and went to work on the card. I had some ideas in my head and ...

garden green watermelon salad

Happy Sunday! Sundays are time for relaxing and recharging... in our household it's family time, time for good food and just hanging around the house, being together doing things we love, feeling relaxed and comfy. In Norwegian we call it "koselig" or "kose seg "... same as danish "hygge", wich I notice have been a hot, trendy word after it became clear the Danes (and Scandinavian people) are ranked to be the happiest people in the world ... so obviously "hygge" or as we say "kose seg" must be a good thing .... 😂 Today our Sunday have been spent at home, we packed for departure tomorrow ... grandma (mommo ) came by to try some dresses and we helped her pick the right one for the upcoming wedding. It was so much fun. We had lunch and ...

So, as we're all different personalities in the family we are all in different stages of our to-do list before we leave to the beautiful southern coast of Norway for the wedding .... the male members of the family are ... well ... probably doing this their male way ... they need to wash the car, assemble the suit, polish their shoes, maybe go to the barbershop...and then they are good to go... 😁 The girls ... we do it a bit differently... we have been planning, thinking, shopping, made lists, gathering ideas ...

Refreshing elderflower and pineapple popsicles

No doubt the most refreshing thing I can ever think of on a warm summer day must be popsicles. And what's better than fresh, homemade popsicles with real fruits. The ones I want to share with you today are made of canned pineapple, elderflower limonade, raspberries and kiwi. Sooo yummy. You can easily make popsicles as long as you have a suitable mold, it's easy and affordable and you can change it up to find your own favourite. You can for example change up the elderflower limonade with your favourite limonade or kombucha (recipe here) Here is my recipe for today's popsicles 😊 Fresh, summery elderflower and pineapple popsicles 230 grams canned pineapple with juice 400 ml ready made elderflower limonade (you can find the recipe on my ...

Make your own kombucha

Today I've planned on sharing one of my favourite fermented beverages; kombucha. I've written about my kombucha obsession earlier (in Norwegian) and how to make your own home brewn kombucha. HERE Now I decided I wanted to write about kombucha in English as well because everybody deserve to know about this awesome, easily made, affordable (almost free), healthy beverage. I always have a big jar with kombucha fermenting in my kitchen. What Is Kombucha? Kombucha is a widely known and loved probiotic beverage. It's actually as easily explained as fermented sweet tea that's filled with probiotics and a lot of other beneficial properties. Promoterer gut health and wellbeing. You've probably seen bottles of Kombucha at your local health ...
