Sponsored by Hobbii
Hellooooo my friends!
Today I’m so happy and proud to finally be able to share the instructions and chart and pattern for the beautiful, light, warming crochet summer shawl I’ve been working on the last couple of weeks.
You can read more about my process here.
This pink summer shawl design is inspired by light Scandinavian summer nights and pink rose petals.
The shawl is soft and airy but still warming.
I was so very lucky to be sponsored with the beautiful NATURE 100% organic wool yarn in the color dusty pink by Hobbii. And I truly love this yarn! So easy to work with and the quality is the best. Besides I love that the yarn is organic wool made in a sustainable way.
The pattern of this shawl is pretty simple if you are familiar with basic stitches. It’s a two row repetitive pattern continued all the way.
The pattern consist of chain, single crochet and treble/double crochet.
This pattern is made in English and Norwegian (!) you’ll find the Norwegian pink scallop shawl pattern HERE

•work as described from ** to ** working one more scallop pattern each time.
Work same 2 rows 47 times or until shawl has desired size.
Top row will have scallop edge.
Edging:
I decided to make a scallop edge around the two triangle sides of the shawl to make a pretty edging. It consists of treble scallop pattern and one sc between the scallops.
Work as follow or view chart.
When you’ve finished last 5trb-scallop on top of shawl don’t break yarn!!!
Ch4, slst1 in first ch. trb5 in same ch as previous scallop. Sc1 in top of first trb along the edge. Trb5 in same st as next 5trb-scallop along the side. Continue like this all around the triangle edges of the shawl.
When you work the tip of the shawl work 5trb I 4ch-ring, ch4, slst1 in first ch, trb5 in the 4ch-ring … continue like the other side of the shawl. When you are at the end of the second triangle side and have finished your last 5trb-scallop, ch4, slst in first ch and in top of first trb on the top end of the shawl. Bind off.
Fasten all loose ends.
Blocking the shawl:
So, why block the shawl? I do this to make the pattern look prettier. It also makes the shawl bigger, more light and airy and makes it feel comfy.
Using cold water I make the shawl damp. I stretch it out to an old mattress (don’t pull hard!!) you just shape the shawl into an well looking triangle. Stretching it a little bit to make the beautiful pattern show. Make sure the scallops along the edge are all well shaped. Fasten the shawl using pins and let dry.
When the shawl is completely dry take it off from the mattress. It’s now ready to use.
Hope you enjoyed the pattern and that you feel inspired to crochet your own version of this shawl.
Please don’t publish or share this pattern as your own.
If shared please link back to me or ask for permission if shared.
I would love for you to create your own shawl, create shawl for gift or for sale, and please let people know where you found the pattern and link back here, so even more people will have the opportunity to enjoy the pattern I’ve shared.
Hugs and kisses
