time for some Pumpkin love the last day of October. 🎃🍁 As you may have noticed I love making food from scratch and I love using local food and even food from the garden if possible. It’s time for pumpkins and even in Norway we decorate and set the big jack o lanterns outside for Halloween. But very few people actually know what to do with the delicious edible pumpkins. So, I decided I wanted to share a couple of recipes. Yesterday I shared my pumpkin spice recipe and the other day I shared my pumpkin soup recipe. (Norwegian) Today I’ll share a recipe for homemade pumpkin purée that are a perfect way to preserve the pumpkin and is so useful for lots of autumn recipes. I’ll share a homemade pumpkin pie recipe too. If ...
Homemade Pumpkin pie spice mix
30th of October. today is The Day before Halloween and I’m sharing my homemade pumpkin pie spice recipe just in time for the day when most Norwegians set up their “scary pumpkins” lanterns for the Halloween night. That said we don’t have a huge tradition on using the pumpkins around here and a lot of people don’t even know the delicious pumpkins are edible. Most of us have however been introduced to pumpkin spice trough pumpkin spice latte at the coffee shop. The most delicious coffee drink of the season if you ask me. Truly- when the fall is on I never get tired of those warm, tasty spices. I’ll be sharing a recipe or two tomorrow on some delicious ways to use the pumpkin - until then I hope you’ll enjoy my homemade pumpkin pie spice ...
Høstens beste Eplemos med og uten karamell.
God god september. Dessuten slipper man all skrellingen! Her er ...
Late summer night memories lemonade
This saturday night i enjoy one Of my all time favourite drinks. Super tasty and all alcohol free - and to top it off it's pretty healthy and all natural too! 💛 This elderflower-lemon-lime limonade reminds me of summer, flowers and long late nights. The lemon and lime is filled with vitamin c and the elderflower juice is meant to be a immune booster. In my drink I've used homemade elderflower juice and homemade lilac syrup as sweetener (you can find my recipe here ) :) Late summer night memories limonade Serves 4 Freshly squeezed juice from 1 lemon and one lime 1/2 - 1 dl lilac syrup, sugar, honey or whatever sweetener you prefer. (The amount of sweetener depends on how sweet your elderflower juice is and how sweet you prefer your ...
Hjemmelagd lasagne
Green matcha tea sugar scrub that will make you glow
🇬🇧🇳🇴Making sugar scrub for the skin is so easy and so fun - and the best side effect : the skin will glow, get nourishment and be exfoliated in a gentle, all natural way. I love try and make different recipes and different types of sugar scrubs. I make only small batches each time so they won't sit on my shelf for long. I prefer sugar scrub over salt scrub because I find the sugar scrub more gentle to the skin. This time I've made a green matcha tea sugar scrub for face and body. Matcha tea powder has tons of benefits - but the main reason I've used it in my scrub is because it contains a lot of antioxidants and is a natural detoxifier. I use coconut oil and white sugar in my scrub, but if you prefer brown sugar that's perfect too. I ...
Homemade Aloe facial soap
🇬🇧🇳🇴Making homemade soaps is so much fun! And the best part is you get an all natural, toxic free soap - you can decide what ever you want your soaps to contain, what fragrance you prefer (if you prefer any - I actually just like my aloe soap almost fragrance free with just a few drops of lavender for the scent and for the skin) When you get into soap making you can change up what kind of oils you use for your soap and make all kinds of soaps for hair, body, shampoo, household etc. Just make sure you use a soap calculator when changing up the oils. There are lots of Facebook groups on the topic too that have tons of tips, ideas and free recipes. 😊 Aloe vera facial soap This soap was designed to be extra gentle and is suitable for use ...
Make your own lovely Rose water
🇬🇧&🇳🇴Roses. I love roses. The scent, the color and the fact that roses has a wonderful, healing and softening effect on the skin. The scent is uplifting and inspiring and it's impossible to be anything else but happy when you feel the whiff of real roses. Every summer I really want to preserve this wonderful scent of roses. There are lots of ways to preserve roses or make tasty or useful homemade stuff out of roses. Today I want to share my simple, basic homemade rose water. This rose water can be used in many different ways. I love to use my plaid rose water as a face mist every single day. It feels kinda luxurious to wake up with a splash of homemade, fresh rose water from a cute spray bottle. I keep my rose water in a cool ...
