🇬🇧🇳🇴Happy wednesday and happy spring 💚🌱 Today I've been out on a hike with one of my best hiking buddies 💚 this time we enjoyed spring weather in the near by woods and along the local river. The spring flowers are just starting to peek out and the birds are "all over" singing and whistling. I'm feeling like I fall in love with nature all over again each time I take a walk or go on a hike. Springtime and the sunny, yet a little bit cold air, invited us to bring lunch and have picnic in the woods - which brings me to today's recipe. I brought home baked bread and homemade spicy hummus as bread spread - topped with finely chopped celery and pumpkin seeds. I love this spicy hummus on freshly baked bread - and thought maybe you would like ...
Magical full moon tea
With the full moon here (and Yes, super moon too) just these days, (on January 21st to be precise) I thought I'd share with you a recipe for full moon tea - just for fun. All people and the energy in nature are affected by the moon - either they know it or not. Some of us have trouble sleeping during full moon, some are more emotional..... in previous times people were much more aware of the moon and how it affected the nature, animals, the seeds and plants. I recommend reading more about the moon and it's energy to better understand. Making full moon tea is a fun way to make herbal iced tea and take a deep breath a second to rewind and enjoy the beautiful moon. With the moon being a feminine energy, this is a method to use if ...
Vegan mushroom wraps – vegansk sopp wrap
🇳🇴👇🏻 Today I've been on a little walk in the forest with a dear friend of mine. We both enjoy the forest at all seasons ... and in the autumn we enjoy all the gifts we can find in the forest such as berries and mushrooms. Today we were lucky to find quite some of this rare black trumpet mushroom. We also found some chanterelles, and last but not least we found peace and balance and support in the nature to recharge and be empowered. As I came home I wanted to celebrate the season of fall and make something good to eat. So, as three of my teenagers / young adults were here I decided I wanted to make some yummy vegan mushroom wraps with cauliflower and lentil filling and salad. This was actually such a hit I want to share it. You ...
Love Nature
This post is quite spontaneous. Today I've been on a road trip with a friend of mine and while driving trough the beautiful landscapes, stopping here and there to take a closer look, take photos or find some geocaches I've been contemplating about how much this beautiful Mother Nature means to me. As my friend is a passionate geocacher (you can go see what this hobby is all about at www.geocaching.com ) she'll drag me out at least every once a week to go on road trips, walk in the forest, go to some lake, climb trees, go to some islands, walk in the park or climb mountains to find these little boxes with a note pad inside to write our name to tell "whoever" we were there and enjoyed the journey. So, thanks to my friend, the last couple ...
Making my own luxury Rosewater
This summer season is filled with all the beauty and wonderful scents from all the flowers. Here in Scandinavia it's almost like one big firework during these short months of summer and daylight 24/7. I love it all so much! I love each and every beautiful flower. They all have their own uniqueness. It makes me want to capture it all, putting it in jars and preserve it, keeping it so I can find it during the long winter and remind me of natures beauty. So, every year I set out to make stuff based on flowers and plants I love. Today I want to share my homemade rose water. It's a simple but yet beautiful way to preserve the beauty, scent and color if the oh so wonderful wild roses. Who doesn't loooove the scent of roses?! I use my ...
