Hello and happy Saturday. Hope your weekend is good. Today I want to share the recipe for a tasty, summery, yellow sunshine soup, made of sweet corn 🌽 zucchini/ squash, coconut milk and fresh turmeric root. I love soups, even in the summer. This one is light and fresh and can even be consumed cold if you have any leftovers. The corn will soon be ready to harvest - and that's by the way one of my favourite things to go harvest at the near-by farm. Grilled, freshly picked sweet corn is sooo good. Freshly pickled corn can even be eaten raw. It's sweet and delicious. So, if you, like me, love picking sweet corn you should definitely try this yellow sunshine soup. You can even use leftover corn after bbq or if you cook a few extra corn. ...
Instant sunshine popsicles ☀️
Peppermint-Melissa tea popsicles with Caramelised kumquat Wow! How cool is that?!? To make popsicles of tea made from your own homegrown garden herbs!! I love herbal tea made of peppermint and Melissa - it’s fresh, cooling and uplifting. It works perfect both as warm tea and ice tea, so if you have some leftovers after making tea in your tea pot, don’t throw it away! And as a bonus melissa and peppermint both have some wonderful medical properties. Soothing, calming, antibacterial, supporting digestion and so on. So, I got this idea it might be yummy to make iced tea popsicles. I had a few kumquat from my friends greenhouse and I wanted to use these for something fun. Citrus are all uplifting and works as instant sunshine. So this ...
The best homegrown, homemade basil pesto
Today I'll share a super good recipe on homemade basil pesto. Pesto is one of my all time favourite sauces, it's soooo easy to make, you can use it along with "all kinds" of dishes and you can use different kinds of basil, oregano, parsley, cilantro, Thai basil, ruccola or whatever ... by the way; did you know there are SO many types of basil?! The " normal " basil we buy in the shop is often times with round, soft leaves and "leafy ", mild taste. But there are lemon basil, cinnamon basil, red basil, Thai basil, Thai chilli basil, holy basil (tulsi) For the pesto we made at my friends house the other day, we picked several different types of basil in her greenhouse and garden . So, without further ado here is the very best homemade ...
Canned Yellow hot chilli peppers 💥
🇳🇴👇🏻 Chilli peppers are some amazing and stunning "fruits" and plants. They come in sooo many different types and shapes and colors ... I'm always stunned when I realise there are even more chillies out there I even didn't know existed. Now, I have this wonderful friend and neighbor - and almost every summer I get the pleasure and honour of looking after her garden and greenhouse when she's off for vacation. Her greenhouse is filled with tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, peppers and chilli of all kinds. Needless to say I looove soaking in all this borrowed goodness. And even better; she is the kindest and most generous person I know .... so she tells me I need pick veggies and herbs and flowers and chilli 🌶 while "babysitting " the ...
Kirsebærsaft 🍒 cherry “lemonade” syrup
English👇🏻 God mandag!!

Sponsored by www.hobbii.dk Happy Monday! It's mid July, it's the warmest summer in more than 70 years in Oslo .... we are enjoying the days off and summer at home, rewinding after the wedding weekend one week ago and just chilling, doing things we love. Yes, we love DOING things.
