Lunch at the beach
We are having Some wonderful warm summer days here on the southern coast of Norway. We enjoy a few days off before the upcoming wedding on Saturday and today was perfect to chill at the beach. We brought our sup (stand up paddle) board and had totally fun practicing and paddle. This is a wonderful and fun investment. It's not for small children but for teens and adults this is a perfect "toy". It's also pretty sustainable (even if it's made of rubber). It's definitely nothing you throw away after one or two times use like any other floating plastic toy.. it has more than one use and it might be used for both stand up paddle (like it's meant to) but also sitting, laying down, playing, floating, relaxing... I tried sup first time last ...
garden green watermelon salad
Happy Sunday! Sundays are time for relaxing and recharging... in our household it's family time, time for good food and just hanging around the house, being together doing things we love, feeling relaxed and comfy. In Norwegian we call it "koselig" or "kose seg "... same as danish "hygge", wich I notice have been a hot, trendy word after it became clear the Danes (and Scandinavian people) are ranked to be the happiest people in the world ... so obviously "hygge" or as we say "kose seg" must be a good thing .... ๐ Today our Sunday have been spent at home, we packed for departure tomorrow ... grandma (mommo ) came by to try some dresses and we helped her pick the right one for the upcoming wedding. It was so much fun. We had lunch and ...

Homemade Crochet newsboy caps
I'm so happy and proud to finally be able to share my FREE pattern on my crochet newsboy caps. Must say I love this cute, easy-to-make summer caps. The 3dc-cluster-pattern makes the caps airy and light to wear even when it's warm and sunny outside. The brim gives a tiny bit of shade for the eyes. I wanted this caps to have the classic newsboy look, fit well, be cute, summery and feminine, be loose and easy to wear but still not baggy.... and in my opinion I managed to catch it all. ๐ This caps is suitable for girls and women. It's one size only so if your head is smaller or larger than 56-58 cm you'll probably need to make some adjustments. It also depends a little bit on type of yarn you choose to use. So I recommend you measure ...

Here in Scandinavia it's almost like one big firework during these short months of summer and daylight 24/7. I love it all so much! I love each and every beautiful flower. They all have their own uniqueness. It makes me want to capture it all, putting it in jars and preserve it, keeping it so I can find it during the long winter and remind me of natures beauty. So, every year I set out to make stuff based on flowers and plants I love. Today I want to share my homemade rose water. It's a simple but yet beautiful way to preserve the beauty, scent and color if the oh so wonderful wild roses. Who doesn't loooove the scent of roses?! I use my ...
